How do I change the submit button wording and styling?
### Appearance & Theming

You can change the wording and the styling of the Submit Button under Theme & Appearance (upper-left) → UI Elements → Submit Button in the form editor.

![Access the Submit Button Configuration by going to Theme & Appearance→ UI Elements → Submit Button](https://img.paperform.co/fetch/f_auto,w_1400/https://d3gw2uv1ch7vdq.cloudfront.net/img/styling-options.png)
Please note that this feature is exclusively available with specific pricing plans.
The Submit Button configuration contains the ability to:

 - Change the text used for the submit button.
 - Turn on / off the " X questions to go" messaging.
 - Turn on / off the total price displayed in the submit button.

If you want even more control over the look and feel of our form, we offer [Custom HTML and CSS which supports the use of JavaScript](https://paperform.co/help/articles/what-is-html-and-css/).

## Gotchas

### One-at-a-time mode

The options to style the submit button are not available when using **One-at-a-time Mode**. When One-at-a-time Mode is enabled, you may only change the following options:

 - Button text.
 - Total price visibility.

![The Submit Button configuration for One-at-a-time Mode is limited to the button text and the visibility of the total price](https://img.paperform.co/fetch/f_auto,w_1400/https://d3gw2uv1ch7vdq.cloudfront.net/img/one-at-a-time-mode-submit-options.png)

### Forms processing payments

If your form processes [payments or uses a checkout integration](https://paperform.co/help/articles/how-can-i-accept-payments-or-donations-on-my-form/) as part of a form submission, your custom submit button text will not be shown. Instead, by default we show the text "Continue" on your form.

You can change this text by using a [Custom Translation](https://paperform.co/help/articles/language-and-wording-of-forms/) on your form.

### Further Customization

While Custom CSS **only** supports CSS content, further customization can be adopted on specific pages of your form using [Custom HTML blocks](https://paperform.co/help/articles/what-is-html-and-css/).

Custom HTML blocks support all HTML syntax, not limited to but including CSS and JavaScript - this feature is intended for advanced users.
