How do I enable 3D Secure for Braintree payments?
### Payments

> Your Braintree account must be enrolled in 3D Secure first, as it is only compatible with certain configurations. Contact [Braintree support](https://developer.paypal.com/braintree/help) for more information and access.

To confirm that your Braintree account is ready to use with 3D Secure:

 1. Log into the [Control Panel](https://www.braintreegateway.com/login).
 1. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner.
 1. Click **Business** from the drop-down menu.
 1. Scroll down to the **Merchant Accounts** section.
 1. Click on the **Merchant Account ID** link for the account you'd like to verify
 1. If your account is enrolled in 3D Secure, the following will be true:

 - The **3D Secure 1** field will show as ***Enrolled***
 - **3D Secure 1** or **EMV 3D Secure 2** will be automatically selected based on which version is most likely to lead to successful authentication and authorization.
