Can all questions and fields have a default answer?
### Field Types

While many questions or field types *do* support default answers, there are notable exceptions. These are:

 - Number.
 - Address.
 - Appointments.
 - Image Upload.
 - File Upload.
 - Signature.

All other questions or field types support default answers.

### Calculations

 - While you can't set a default answer using the conventional method for calculation fields, they *do* technically still offer one. This is because calculations **always** return a value based on the calculation logic you build.
 - The default answer of a field doesn't support Answer Piping, or dynamic content. This means that you cannot use Answer Piping to fill a question as a fallback value - the text entered in the default answer will appear in your results.
